Teatro Kabuki com uma promotora cultural

Tóquio, Japão

Experiência oferecida por Tatsuko

  1. 3 horas
  2. Oferecida em Inglês

O que você fará

Kabuki is a classical Japanese dance-drama with gorgeous colours and extraordinary spaces. It is similar to the art of Ukiyo-e—a style of Japanese woodblock print and painting from the Edo period depicting famous theatre actors, beautiful courtesans, city life, travel in romantic landscapes, and more.
During this experience, we’ll go to Kabuki-za, where we'll view Kabuki drama. I can recommend and pick one or two acts from all the programs now playing. I will show you around Kabuki-za and then we'll watch the show. You'll be able to use an English caption device.
After watching Kabuki, I will take you to the gallery in the Kabuki-za building, where you can pretend to be an actor or actress on the mock Kabuki stage. You'll be able to enjoy real stage settings and small tools used in a theatre.
Alternatively, in case the gallery is closed, I will show you around in Ginza area. Beforehand we can discuss where you want to go, or what you want to do.

If the selected performance is the last show of the day, all activities will be moved to before the show, because most of the places in Ginza are closed after 21:00.
Other things to note
* If scheduled experience dates don't fit your schedule, first please contact me. I will try to go with whatever time and day are convenient for you.

Tatsuko once had the chance to see a Japanese traditional play, and I've been fascinated by this Japanese art ever since. I left my busy career in information technology to become a promoter of traditional Japanese culture and a cultural coordinator to introduce our wonderful culture to others—and this includes Kabuki. I’m also a certified teacher of the art of Japanese incense to share this fragrant art and to help others relax.

Fumiko and Kimiko are a licensed English tour guide and have been showing foreign guests around Tokyo. We are a big fan of Kabuki.

Tatsuko is a kind and sweet host. She gave us information about the train station and tourist attractions. However, the experience is not as special as I thought it would be. I and my friend could have easily bought tickets with better seat. The original price for the ticket is only ¥2000/person and it was so far from the stage that we need to use binoculars but we paid more than thrice the price (¥7000/person) for this experience. In the beginning, she gave us a very simple introduction about Kabuki which I have learnt in school before. Before the performance, she took us to a small Inari shrine which I find it unique. After the performance, she took us to shopping mall and helped us to translate the menu which was very kind of her. Overall, it was decent experience.

Tatsuko san was so warm and welcoming! She was the nicest person I met in Japan by far! She told us the history of kabuki as well as the surrounding areas. She stayed with us longer than she had to!

Tatsuko-san was very friendly and knowledgeable about kabuki. She explained the background of the scene before I saw it, which helped to better appreciate it as I watched. Afterwards we walked around Ginza and it was a nice and fun experience just chatting and enjoying the evening
