O que você fará

We are going to do a literary walking tour to see relevant places for northern Portuguese writers, some old book stores, libraries, writers statues and learn a bit about several Portuguese writers and their relation with the Porto city and Northern Portugal. We'll finish at a cosy small book store which is also a bar/cafe to have a coffee and share some reading on Portuguese writers. (We'll have a bit of time in some stores for those who may want to buy books.)

I am from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and as far as I can remember I am passionate about literature and Portuguese language and culture since really young. And this is what led me to get my Bachelor's degree in Portuguese Language and Literature. I have taught PT and EN, become a translator and specialises in audiovisual translation (subtitling) for corporate material and accessibility. Ironically I' never worked with literature itself. Since I moved to Porto all the historical atmosphere has brought me back to that time when I used to dream with all the places of stories based in Portugal. Places I put my feet on now once were only in my imagination. I can feel all the magic from the books while I walk in Porto. So I've decided to share my passion and knowledge of Portuguese Literature and Porto altogether.

Mais dicas

This is a walking tour to visit statues, places, libraries and book stores all related to Portuguese Literature/writers and all things literature.
IMPORTANT: Children up to 15 years old don't pay and are welcome. Be aware we are walking about 4km and going to quiet places also though.

O que levar

Check the weather: Porto rains a lot and is very windy. Be prepared for that since we doing a walking tour.

Ware comfortable shoes, we are walking and Porto streets are made of stones and there are lots of up and downs.
