We offer a private room within our personal family home. FIRST FLOOR room (over 300 sq ft) w/bay window, KING bed, small desk, free Wi-Fi, mini-fridge, small hanging rack. SECOND FLOOR private bathroom.
Parking: Large circular driveway allows for off street parking.
Our cozy location is set on a country road. As you gaze out the bay window enjoying your morning coffee, you may catch a glimpse of deer sprinting across the lawn. Nature enthusiasts may want to walk, bike, or run on the forest preserve trails. Access to the trail is directly across the street from our house.
City life surrounds the community with quaint shops, live theater, shopping malls, grocery stores, and cinema near by. Seasonal fairs, festivals, nightly (summer) lawn concerts and farmers markets through the autumn months are held each weekday and weekend in surrounding suburbs.
Located approximately 35 miles from downtown Chicago with excellent public transportation to the city via train. Several stations within 15 minutes with hourly scheduled trains and increased service during rush hours. If driving to the city is your preferred choice, we're 5 minutes from the expressway. Although doable, we do not recommend our home for daily activities into the city. Travel time each way is 90 minutes.
Our Northwest Suburban residence is only a 15 minute drive to Schaumburg, home of the Schaumburg Conference Center, Woodfield Shopping Center, IKEA, and the Streets of Woodfield. After a few hours of shopping or a day at a convention, continue your evening with casual or fine dining at "Big Bowl", "Biaggi's", "Maggiano's" or Chicago pizza at "Uno's." For electronic fun, "Game Work's" offers everything from pinball to virtual roller coasters. The children will love "LegoLand Discovery Center" which is only a few doors away.
Also in Schaumburg, just 3.5 miles west of the Convention Center, experience life in the Middle Ages at Medieval Times! Ironclad knights on white horses battle for the title of King's Champion while the audience cheers between bites of a four-course dinner.
Just 15 minutes to the east of our home, you'll find live theater at the Marriott Lincolnshire. Continue another 15 minutes north for a day of thrills at Six Flags Great America! Open daily with extended hours during summer. During autumn, catch some thrills and chills at Fright Fest! Open weekends through Halloween. Closed in winter.
If you're looking for bargains, drive an additional 15 minutes north of Six Flags to Pleasant Prairie Premium Outlets. With 90 outlet stores, you'll find something for everyone at great prices with low retail tax!
